Lake Walk Town Center has a few things going on. Susannah Love McNutt will be conducting a yoga class from 8:00 -9:00 am. Please bring your own mat, towel, and water. Atlas Triathlon will also be out by the lake conducting a free open water swim clinic starting at 8:00 am.

Brazos Valley Farmers Market will be on 21st between Main and Bryan streets in Downtown Bryan from 8:00 – 12:00 pm.

lululemon College Station will be at TONE 360 Fitness Studio from 10:30 – 11:30 am for a summer sweat session.

The Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley is hosting Storybook Saturday from 10:30 – 11:00 am.

Urgent Animals of Hearne Robertson County Texas will be at America’s Country Store: Close Quarters Feed & Pet Supply from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. If you are interested in adopting a pet, please stop by to see them.

The Theatre Company of Bryan/College Station will be performing “Hello Dolly!” at 2:00 pm and at 7:00 pm.

StageCenter Community Theatre will be performing “For Her Che-ild’s Sake” at 7:30 pm.

It’s Salsa Night at the Village Cafe and Art979 Gallery starting at 10:30 pm.

Chappell Hill Lavender Farm and Windy Winery are hosting the 2017 Lavender & Wine Fest from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. The event has free admission and free parking at both locations. There will be food, music, vendors, and much more. Windy Winery will also have a grape stomp from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Tickets for this event are 25/adult and 15/kids.

Suzanne’s School of Dance will have an open house from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm and Pure Energy Dance Productions will have their open house from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Halo will be hosting the Sinful Saturday Drag Show with Coco Chanel & Hu’Nee B starting at 11:30 pm. Club doors open at 10:00 pm and there is no cover until 10:30 pm.

Happy Friday BCS! It’s going to be a busy weekend. Keep your eye on the traffic because it is commencement weekend. Here is the buzz around town for non-music events:

The Peddler Show will run from today through Sunday at The Brazos Center. Today’s times are 12:00 – 6:00 pm and tickets are $7 at the door or $5 advance online tickets at https://peddler.ticketleap.com/bcs17/

Artisan’s Rejuvenation Med Spa will have a Facebook Live broadcast from 1:00 -2:30 pm pm on a new procedure called Ultherapy. You can watch from the comfort of your own home at https://www.facebook.com/pg/artisansmedspa/events/?ref=page_internal

South Brazos County Farmers’ Market will be at 700 Scott and White Dr, College Station, TX 77845 from 12:00- 5:30 pm.

Texas State Independent Living Council and Brazos Valley Center for Independent Living will be at the Hilton College Station from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm during which they will be screening the documentary “Bottom Dollars”.

Christland Church will be at Brian Bachmann Community Park from 6:30 – 8:30 pm to celebrate the opening of their new church. They will be offering catered BBQ and a mechanical bull.

Friday, August 11 – music

It’s graduation weekend and lots of great music around the area! Here’s what you need to know:

The annual Harestock music festival begins at The Beer Joint. Food is provided by Smitty K’s. Friday’s lineup: 7 pm Doc Mojoe, 9 p The Broken Spokes, 11 pm The High Mile. Tickets are $15 for Friday’s lineup or $40 for a three day pass. Harestock began 9 years ago and has grown into a 100% non-profit event. All proceeds go to BACA, Beau means business and the Arts Council of the Brazos Valley.

Blindpursuit is playing at The New Republic Brewing Company beginning at 6 p.m. Fire Truck Crepes will be serving food. Great local brew and fun times.

Michael Gonzalez Music is playing at Lakeside Icehouse at Lake Bryan beginning at 7 p.m. It will be hot out there tonight but the music will be great.

Shane Watson of the Shane Watson Band will be at Smitty K’s beginning at 7 p.m. Head out for great food and music

Down&Out will be playing at The Stella Hotel beginning at 7 p.m.

Clayton Gardner will be playing at The Western Club Bar and Grill, 9524 Loop 6 S, Navasota beginning at 8 p.m. Head on down south to enjoy a great evening with a great artist

Sauney Stand Band will be playing at HOME sweet FARM Market at 307 S Park, Brenham beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Landon Evans Band will be playing at Canteen Bar & Grill, at Cavalry Court beginning at 9 p.m.

Callahan Divide featuring Blake Gossett Music will play at The Tap beginning at 7 p.m. Come join Callahan Divide for their final tour at The Tap.

Sean McConnell will be playing at Hurricane Harry’s beginning at 9 p.m. Tickets are $10
